Log of October (2021) - Yeah, huh... Small game design things!
Hello again,
So yeah, as you might know, life throws you curve balls sometimes. We weren't very lucky this month in regards of development due to various reasons. But aye, that's that and that's okay.

October Development
- UI showing collected puzzle pieces out of 'x' : Puzzle pieces are an essential part to our gameplay. With levels getting bigger, it'll probably be nice for you playing to know how many you need to find. We've also placed the counter on screen while you're playing to emphasize its importance. I don't have a screenshot, atm. but you can trust me that it's there.
- Bridges?
We loved the idea of putting bridges into the caves. The question is, how does one show bridges when you can't even see the feet of the characters?
Have a look at this *beautiful* mockup I made a few weeks ago:
Does it work? Mayhaps. I feel that it adds a lot of depth to the "room", but we (@RocketBoyweee and I) have yet to discuss this. Though, I've kind of already begun making the graphics :3, because if we need bridges, this is probably the way to do it. We don't need bridges, but we like them enough to spend time on making them.
